Das DECANTER Magazin zählt zu den führenden und kritischsten Wein-Publikationen weltweit! Wenn hier ein Wein mit 18 Punkten bewertet wird, dann ist das für den Produzenten wie Weihnachten und Geburtstag an einem Tag! So geschehen für Peter Sisseck, der Ihnen allen von Pingus ein Begriff ist. Sissecks neuester Coup heißt PSI und wurde vom DECANTER mit ungewöhnlich hohen 18 Punkten bewertet.
PSI muss nicht erst stundenlang dekantiert werden, er ist unglaublich charmant, feminin und burgundisch in der Stilistik, mit perfekter Balance, Mineralität, Frucht und feinster Tanninstruktur, ein Genuss vom ersten bis zum letzten Schluck. Wie der Decanter sagt: „…the whole managed with a light hand…“.
Decanter (2009/11) steht: "Blackberry and mulberry fruit aromas and stony minerality; lively palate, the acidity finely balanced by an abundance of dark fruit, restrained by the same clean minerality on the nose. The palate is smooth, with subtly controlled tannin. No new oak apparent to overwhelm the expression of the terroir, long, elegant finish, the whole managed with a light hand.
Sisseck’s reputation in Ribera del Duero is long established through his cult wine Pingus. What puts him back among the exiting producers is his new project PSI. The intention is to work with growers in the region to raise their game, and by improving their fruit, help them increase their incomes. In the process they will also be introduced to organic and biodynamic preparations. The winemaking follows traditional methods – oak casks, cement tanks and little new oak."
